Dr. Lockerbie’s CV

Dr. Brad Lockerbie is professor of political science. Prior to joining the faculty at ECU, he was on the faculty at the University of Georgia. He is author of Do Voters Look to the Future? Economics and Elections published by SUNY press. He is coauthor (with Jody Baumgartner) of “Maybe it is More than a Joke: Satire, Mobilization and Political Participation” published in Social Science Quarterly.

His most recent research has been on race, religion, and politics. “Race and Religion: Voting Behavior and Political Attitudes,” is also in Social Science Quarterly. He has written extensively on economics and politics, voting behavior, and public opinion polling. His work has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, Political Research Quarterly, Public Opinion Quarterly, Public Choice, and many other journals and books. Lockerbie is also an award winning teacher. He has won the Dean Thomas P. Lauth Award for Teaching Excellence and twice been awarded the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Recognition of Contributions to Academic Excellence at the University of Georgia.
