Dunn, III.  William will be graduating as a triple major in Political Science, History, and International Studies with a minor in Gender Studies.  William will be continuing his education at NC State University by pursuing the Master of International Studies program with a concentration in Human Rights.  In the future, he hopes to work with IGOs such as NATO or the UN.
The Department of Political Science at ECU congratulates graduate Madison Stamper. Madison will be graduating Summa Cum Laude after three wonderful years at East Carolina University studying Political Science and History. During her time at ECU, Madi served as the Student Body Attorney General in the Student Government Association and on the Student Conduct Board, and she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha. As she transitions into pursuing her J.D. at Campbell Law this fall, Madi is thankful for the school that became her home and the professors and friends that became her family.”
The Department of Political Science at ECU and the Master of Public Administration program congratulate graduate Derrick Winston.  Derrick says, “Having a goal to serve in the public sector, I first attained the Public Management and Leadership Certificate starting the fall of 2019. It was the following spring semester when the former department head Dr. Scavo me suggested that finish the Master of Public Administration degree and I’m grateful that I did. I learned interesting topics such as government analysis approaches, intergovernmental/interagency relations, budgeting, and finance to organizational theory, and policy implementation approaches. I am also grateful for the Instructors of this program and their noticeable knowledge and intelligence. They were all very helpful and very willing to give their undivided attention to see that students succeed. I have plans to work in the local government. As for now, I have an internship opportunity with the City of Rocky Mount. For anyone interested in starting a promising career in the public sector I would recommend the ECU Master of Public Administration Graduate degree program, you’ll be more than pleased!”
