Political Science Recognition Ceremony

FIRST!  Please realize that you have to apply for graduation in order to graduate!

Students must apply for graduation online through Pirate Port at least one semester prior to completing the requirements of the degree as stated by the Academic  Catalog. Please visit the Office of the Registrar’s graduation web page for deadlines and instructions on applying to graduate.

Second:  Please remember there are 2 different opportunities to be recognized: University Commencement and the Department Recognition Ceremony.

University Commencement

Each fall and spring semester the University schedules the main university ceremony.

The Spring 2025 University Commencement will be on Friday, May 9 in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium at 10:00 AM to celebrate the Class of 2025.  Details about the ceremonies can be found here.

Please note that you have to RSVP to let the Commencement Office know you will be attending and how many guests to expect.  The link to RSVP to the University Commencement Ceremony is here.

Department Recognition Ceremony

The Department of Political Science will host the Spring 2025 Department Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 9 at 4:00 PM in Wright Auditorium.

Please note that you have to RSVP for the Departmental Recognition Ceremony. You can RSVP for the Departmental Recognition Ceremony by completing the form below.

Your guests at the ceremony will need to have tickets to attend. Tickets will be available beginning March 24, during normal business hours, in the Department of Political Science, Brewster A-124. To be sure we have all of your information for the ceremony, we ask that you RSVP before you come to pick up your tickets.
